About Samira Ashori

Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP)

When life begins to feel heavy or unclear, it can be hard to know where to start…
Reaching out for support is often the first step toward creating the change you’ve been longing for, and you don’t have to take that step alone. My goal is to offer a grounded, steady presence as you navigate whatever you’re carrying. Through evidence-based, relational, and compassionate therapy, I help clients move beyond old patterns, build emotional clarity, and reconnect with the strengths that have always been within them.

With several years of experience supporting individuals with autism and their families, I approach therapy through a neurodiversity-affirming and deeply respectful lens. I understand the importance of attunement, patience, and meeting each person exactly where they are.

I understand that reaching out for support can be deeply vulnerable, and I am committed to creating a safe, grounded, and non-judgmental space where you can feel truly heard, understood, and respected. My work is collaborative and client-centered, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and trauma-informed practices to tailor each session to your needs.

Therapeutic approaches I draw from include:

  • Person-Centered Therapy (PCT)
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)
  • Trauma-informed approaches
  • Mindfulness-based approaches
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) — used selectively
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) — used selectively

If you are curious about beginning therapy or wondering what this process might look like for you, I invite you to reach out for a free 15-minute consultation. It would be a privilege to support you as you move toward healing, clarity, and a more grounded connection with yourself.
